A Lock of Hair from Faraway - For MFJP

The postman brought
something for me today.
A distinguished-looking package
from abroad
Consumed by fire of desire
to know the inside
I hastily tore off the covering.

Countless fancy, blinding things
and a lock of hair
Golden brown, gossamer-like
So beautiful it touched my heart
I shed a tear of joy
I held the flimsy lock dearly
So lovely I want to weep.
