Tulips - For MFJP

You smile in many hues
Red, yellow, purple, pink
The fiery one is full of exuberance
swaying gracefully from head to toe
defying the wind
posing as a graceful Princess of Passion.

I cycled on that road
I knew, I knew
The Tulips curtseyed
My sister laughed
Oh! Look dear little sister,
they envy us! so she remarked
and they bowed more and more.

You complacently wink and twirl
The Zephyr Lady emits
a hosanna for your sake
A creature so elegant and ladylike.

It was spring and all were lovely
My sister rode past me
and giggled
We were both struck by
a violent force of Beauty
The Tulips tittered and fluttered
like butterflies encased in fragrant dew.

You are real, so read
It makes me swoon
I dreamt about you
I knew, I know
it'd come true.
