The Poetry of Primadonna Angela

Primadonna Angela

My Heart's Still Beating Fast

You walked me home
decorating and protecting
my steps with your agile, slender arms
soothing my heart with
half a dozen colorful rosebuds
whispering sweet, sweet words of love
into my quivering ears.

My heart's still beating fast
remembering how you point at the
stars and tell me their names
reminiscing the times when you
held me close giving some warmth
The thrill you gave me still persists
The memory we had will be immortal.
