The Poetry of Primadonna Angela

Primadonna Angela

Both Plucky and Lucky

Jellyish twinge of guilt
for ungratitude
invades me like
a prick to the balloon
I have things
I want more. All explode.

Jellyish pang of shame
for greed
grips me like
an eagle clutches its prey
I want everything
Now. A fiasco.

Jejune dreams
All return to nothingness
I have more than enough
The cup overflows
All dissolve to reality
I'm both plucky and lucky.
