The Poetry of Primadonna Angela

Coincidence, if traced enough back,
becomes inevitable.--Jung

Coincidence I: The Simile

Like a sharp, gurgling sound
of a pebble thrown into a lake
Alerting a resting crane
Startling a fish, causing it to jump and be
swallowed by the crane.
Coincidence can
reduce mountains to smithereens
and form ashes to solid rocks.

Coincidence II: The Reality

I don't believe in coincidences
One, yes, two, yes
three and more?

Too many scare me
Are they meant to be,
inevitable?

Do they embody Fate?

Represent aftermath of Faith?

It has become a common excuse.
