The Poetry of Primadonna Angela

Primadonna Angela

Monkeys

You dare to invade my space!
In a group with certain ease
Gobbling sawit, guava, berries
Munching, munching, mocking me.

Long noses, short noses
all nosy and busybody
Threatening me! How awful!
My life will never be like usual!

Littering all over, staring dumbly
at a more sophisticated monkey
Seeing them, my heart skips
a bit, how similar, how tragic
At least they stick together.
